You can now play Genshin Impact Cloud in the US and Canada
United States and Canadian players can now play Genshin without worrying about storage.
Hoyoverse has announced that it is expanding its Cloud Gaming Support for Genshin Impact to the United States and Canada. This will allow players to play at high quality and high frame rates regardless of their device's specs.
Players in the US and Canada can now download Genshin Impact · Cloud and play a Cloud version of the game without needing to install the whole game, which requires large amounts of storage and resources on their phone and/or their PC. However, this is only recommended for those who can't normally play with their current devices, as it is not exactly a free service.
When playing the Cloud version of Genshin Impact, you will be spending limited minutes, which, when they run out, will require you to purchase more time to continue playing, though it is not necessarily the only way, and it's not immediately required for you to have to pay; first-time players get 5 hours of free trial and get to claim 15 additional minutes they can claim daily; the daily 15 minutes are cumulative, meaning that you can choose to claim the 15 minutes and not play the game for that day, making it so the next day you get another 15 minutes, totaling to 30 minutes and up to 600 minutes (10 hours).
Genshin Impact · Cloud is currently in Open Beta and is available in limited countries: the US, Canada, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines, Laos, Cambodia, Bangladesh, and Myanmar, but they are planning to add more countries to the list with time. The servers may have limitations, as depending on the time of day, you may have to queue to play through this method, though there are some claims that new players get priority in these.
Genshin Impact · Cloud is not a different game. You'll be playing on the same account regardless of which version you are playing. This means that you may play the game on a PC, and if you have to go somewhere else, you can continue playing on your old Android or Iphone, or even a lower spec computer as long as there is a good internet connection.
