Genshin Impact
Genshin Impact is coming to Xbox when Version 5.2 releases
Genshin Impact is finally expanding to other consoles, though a few details might need clarification.
Hoyoverse has released a new trailer during Gamescom where we can see some new details of what we might see during Version 5.0, but during the Trailer, we are shown something else: a November 20th release date for an Xbox version of the game, with the possibility of wishlisting it already.
There are a few details to note, as when checking the game at the Store page, it mentions something that the other versions of the game do not do, it requires a Game Pass Subscription to play online multiplayer, this could be an error, as Genshin Impact is a Free to Play game, and this kind of games do not require a subscription for online multiplayer, such is the case for Fortnite for example, but we won't know for sure until they address this aspect or until the game comes out on November 20th, 2024.
The release date for this version of the game coincides with the expected release date of version 5.2, likely so players can download the game entirely with the update and avoid extra delays in the experience.
It's not guaranteed, but when the game was released on PlayStation, there was a special collaboration that allowed players to use Aloy from Horizon: Zero Dawn as a playable character. This collaboration also included a unique bow for Aloy and a special glider for the players. It's possible that Xbox players might receive a similar treatment and get a new character from their franchises. However, it's important not to get too excited, as Aloy isn't a great unit; her bow only works on her and only when playing on PlayStation, and the glider gets removed from your characters as soon as you open the game on other platforms.
It's been over four years since Genshin Impact announced a Nintendo Switch version. However, they haven't released any news about that for a while, other than mentioning that they were still working on it during an interview back in 2022 and the removal of the Switch logo from their Trailers after a while.
