The Mighty Infernape is coming to Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
After this event, only Torterra and Feraligatr are the only remaining Starters yet to be featured in the 7-Star Tera Raids.
Pokémon has announced the latest Tera Raid Event to come to Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, Infernape with the Mightiest Mark, becoming the second of its respective trio to be featured in 7-Star Tera Raid Events.
As usual, the Event will run twice, first from Thursday, October 3rd to Sunday, October 6th (or Friday to Sunday, depending on your Time zone), and then from Thursday, October 10th to Sunday, October 13th, the latter will also feature special Blisseys on 5-Star Tera Raids, rewarding players with Experience Candies and Tera Shards.
You'll only be able to catch one Infernape with the Mightiest Mark per account, participating in the Tera Raids after catching one will only get you the additional rewards, and if the event were to return, you will still not be able to catch a second one with the same account.
Infernape will have the Rock Tera Type, weak to Fighting, Grass, Ground, Water, and Steel-type attacks, being a 7-Star Tera Raid, Infernape will have its Hidden Ability Iron Fist, which will increase the damage dealt by Punching moves, basically any move with Punch or Fist on the name.
Ignoring Nature, Infernape has balanced Defensive and Attacking Stats, so your focus should be on adapting to its move set; Infernape will likely have moves to counteract its weaknesses, considering its original typing has Fire and Fighting, and it can learn Grass Knot to defend against Water and Ground-types.
To participate in the Blissey Tera Raids, you must have completed the main story up to the end credits; open the Poké Portal and Check Poké Portal News through the Mystery Gift menu; the special raids will appear with a glimmer around the icon on the map.
To unlock the Infernape Raid, you must unlock Black Crystal Tera raids by completing a few random raids after the end credits and participating in the post-game tournament. However, if you are missing any of these requirements, you can still join the event by playing with someone who has unlocked it through online play or local communication.
