Genshin Impact
Genshin Impact 4.8 is bringing multiple but significant minor improvements
Encounter Points will overflow so you can use them days later, and bosses will respawn faster.
Genshin Impact has released the latest Developers Discussion detailing what system improvements will come to Genshin Impact in Version 4.8. This time, multiple changes, though small, will make a difference for many players.
Encounter Points
When Version 4.8 arrives, any extra Encounter Points that you receive will be converted into Long-term Encounter Points; these remain stored after the day resets, so you can use them any day that you may not be able to do Daily Commissions or don't want to accumulate regular Encounter Points; to use them all you have to do is spend your resin, it equals to 30 resin for the rewards of one commission, meaning that you can defeat three World Bosses, two weekly Bosses, or craft three Condensed Resins and you'll be able to convert enough Long-term Encounter Points for the day.
Long-term Encounter Points last until the next X.0 Update, meaning that the first reset will happen in version 5.0, and the next one will occur in 2025 when 6.0 releases.
World Bosses
World Bosses' respawn time will be reduced from three minutes to only 10 seconds, so now, after defeating a Boss and claiming its rewards, all you have to do is reset the area, whether by teleporting somewhere far and then coming back, closing and opening the game, or entering and leaving the Serenitea Pot, and the Boss will be there ready for a rematch.
Difficulty changes
Since the beginning, the ability to lower the world level was only available to players who had already reached World Level 5. Now, when 4.8 arrives, the requirement will be lowered to World Level 3, so new players can change to a lower difficulty earlier if they need to; an option to lower the world level will also appear if your whole party gets wiped.
The Quests for Amber's Gliding License Exam and the Anti-Raiden Shogun Training will be adjusted to be less difficult as, apparently, enough players had difficulty gliding and/or dodging.
Multiple Domains in Mondstadt and Liyue will be adjusted to be less challenging to complete.
Smaller improvements
The Spiral Abyss will add a way to better organize your teams in the party setup screen by letting you literally drag them to the position you prefer and even move them to the other team with ease; the character filtering screen will now add the option to filter your favorited characters only.
Quests will now let you check previous dialogues during a conversation and hide the dialog box if you want a better view of the scene. You'll also be able to hide User Interface elements during gameplay if you feel like they are unnecessary and want to immerse yourself into the game better.
