Turn a New Leaf in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth and find New Horizons on Dondoko Island

A trailer for the upcoming Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth was released during the Xbox Partner Preview, revealing a new game mode, Dondoko Island, in which you build your own island and customize it to your liking, just like in Animal Crossing, but with a bit of higher quality textures.

Dondoko Island seems to be the game's side game, just like how, in previous games, you could manage a Cabaret Club or manage properties in Real Estate; in this game mode, just like in Animal Crossing or the Serenitea Pot in Genshin Impact, you gather resources to build the things you like, place decorations inside your house, and add things the residents might want to gain better rewards; with this being the side game, then similarly to previous games, you'll be playing a small story mode with a few fights every now and then.

Like all side games in previous titles in the franchise, this might be how you make extra money in the game, allowing you to buy better equipment and use all the features that require in-game money, like the Poundmates summons, which always come in handy when fighting formidable enemies.

Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth will be released on January 26th, 2024, and will be available on all current platforms except Nintendo Switch, those being PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
