Prepare for the Mighty Dondozo in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

In early July, Pokémon announced the next events that would be happening in July and August. First, it was Pikachu with the Mightiest Mark and Mass Outbreaks with increased Shiny Rates, and now, as soon as that Event ends, a new one will start: Dondozo with the Mightiest Mark and Mass Outbreaks for Tatsugiri with increased Shiny Rates.

The Event will start as soon as the Pikachu event ends on Thursday, July 25th, and will last two weeks until Thursday, August 8th. It will feature Dondozo with the Mightiest Mark on the 7-star Tera Raids and Mass Outbreaks for all Tatsugiri forms scattered around Paldea, Kitakami, and Blueberry Academy.

Dondozo with the Mightiest Mark will have the Water Tera type, weak to Grass and Electric-type attacks. It will have its Hidden Ability Water Veil, which only prevents it from being burned. Ignoring Nature, Dodonzo has high Physical stats, so you should bring a Special Attacker with a high Physical Defense.

Like any other 7-star Tera Raid event, you'll be able to catch only one Dondozo with the Mightiest Mark per account. Any further attempts will only give additional rewards, such as Herba Mystica and Ability Patches; it is possible that the Event might return in the future, but you still won't be able to catch a second one if you get this one.

The Event will also feature Mass Outbreaks for Tatsugiri; each form will have its own Mass Outbreak in each region. Curly Form Tatsugiri will appear on Paldea, Droopy Form Tatsugiri will appear on Kitakami, and Stretchy Form Tatsugiri will appear on Blueberry Academi's Terarium; these Event Mass Outbreaks will have an increased chance of spawning Shiny Tatsugiri, the chance is of 0.5% or 1 in 200, which can be slightly increased with other methods such as the Shiny Charm, a Shiny Sandwich and defeating about 60 Pokémon from the Outbreak.

To participate in the Mass Outbreaks, all you need to do is open the Poké Portal and Check Poké Portal News through the Mystery Gift menu; the Event Mass Outbreaks will appear with a Golden Icon on the map.

To unlock the Dondozo Tera Raid, you must unlock Black Crystal Tera Raids by completing a few random Tera Raids after the end credits and participating in the post-game tournament. However, if you don't meet these requirements, you can still join the Event by playing with someone who has unlocked it through online play or local communication.
