The Mighty Sceptile is coming in the next Tera Raid Event
With this event, all three Hoenn starters have been featured in 7-Star Tera Raids.
Pokémon has revealed the next event for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, featuring the third and final Starter Pokémon from the third Generation, Sceptile with the Mightiest Mark.
The event will happen twice: first, from Thursday, June 27th, to Sunday, June 30th (or Friday to Sunday, depending on your Time zone), and second, from Thursday, July 4th, to Sunday, July 7th. The second one will also feature Event Blisseys on the 5-Star Tera Raids, rewarding extra Tera Shards and experience candies.
As 7-Star tera raids are, you are allowed to catch only one Sceptile per account; the only way to have multiple Sceptiles with the Mightiest Mark would be through trading.
Sceptile will have the Dragon Tera type, weak to Dragon, Fairy, and Ice-type attacks; it will also have its Hidden Ability, Unburden, which will make it way faster than it already is after losing its held item, which won't be a problem as long as it isn't holding an item, as the ability won't trigger if it isn't holding anything from the beginning.
Ignoring Nature, Sceptile has a high Special Attack and Special Defense and an incredible Speed, so prepare a physical attacker with high Special Defense. It may know some Dragon-type moves such as Dragon Pulse and Dragon Breath; the best counter would be a Fairy-type for the immunity to Dragon-type moves and because Sceptile may know Dragon and Fighting-type moves, which are strong against Dragon and Ice-type moves.
To participate in the Special Blissey Raids, you must have completed the main story up to the end credits; open the Poké Portal and Check Poké Portal News through the Mystery Gift menu; the special raids will appear with a glimmer around the icon on the map.
To unlock the Sceptile Raid, you must unlock Black Crystal Tera raids by completing a few random raids after the end credits and participating in the post-game tournament. However, if you don't meet these requirements, you can still join the event by playing with someone who has unlocked it through online play or local communication.
