Pikachu with the Mightiest Mark is returning to Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
Pikachu with the Mightiest Mark is returning, and is bringing some friends to all regions.
Pokémon has announced the next events that will be happening on Pokémon Scarlet and Violet during July and August, starting with Pikachu with the Mightiest Mark and Friends.
The Event will last two whole weeks, from Thursday, July 11th, 2024, to Thursday, July 25th, 2024, and will feature Pikachu with the Mightiest Mark in the 7-star Tera Raids. There will also be Special Mass Outbreaks on Paldea, Kitakami, and the Blueberry Academy.
Pikachu with the Mightiest Mark can only be caught once per account, so if you already caught it in its first appearance in February 2023, you cannot catch it again. However, you can still participate in the Tera Raids for additional rewards, namely Herba Mystica and other rare items.
The Mass Outbreaks will feature Pichu on Paldea, Pikachu, and Mimikyu on Kitakami, and lastly, Raichu will be appearing on the Terarium at Blueberry Academy; the Raichu Mass Outbreaks will feature both its regular form and its Alolan Form. These mass outbreaks will have an increased chance of spawning Shiny Pokémon, typically a 0.5% chance or 1 in 200; these odds can be increased further with the Shiny Charm and Shiny Sandwich and defeating around 60 Pokémon in the outbreak.
The Pikachu 7-Star Tera Raid will have a Pikachu with a Water Tera type, weak to Grass and Electric-type attacks; it will have its hidden ability Lightning Rod, which will make it absorb Electric-type attacks and increase its Special Attack instead of taking damage, so Grass would be the better option.
The previous Pikachu with the Mightiest Mark Event had Pikachu with the Quiet Nature, which benefits Special Attack and diminishes Speed. It also had Max Effort Values on Special Attack and HP; its defense stats are lower on the physical side. It also knew the moves Thunder, Surf, Play Rough, Iron Tail, and Rain Dance, all of which do half or neutral damage to Grass types, so be sure to bring one with high Physical attack and high Special Defense.
To participate in the Mass Outbreaks, all you have to do is open the Poké Portal and Check Poké Portal News through the Mystery Gift menu; the Event Mass Outbreaks will appear with a Golden Icon on the map.
To unlock the Pikachu Raid, you must unlock Black Crystal Tera raids by completing a few random raids after the end credits and participating in the post-game tournament. However, if you don't meet these requirements, you can still join the Event by playing with someone who has unlocked it through online play or local communication.
