Sonic Superstars reveals release date during Gamescom
Play 4-player co-op with your friends.
During Gamescom's Opening Night Live, Sega revealed a new trailer for Sonic Superstars, showcasing the aspects of cooperative play with up to 4 players.
In the trailer, we see how the game can change depending on which combination of characters you have; choose Tails, and you can fly and take other players with you, or Amy and destroy whatever is in your way using your mighty hammer.
The trailer also reveals the Online battle mode, where you can create your own robot to either fight the others or race to the finish.
Sonic Superstars will be available on all current platforms: Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X|S, and PC, and it will come out this October 17th, coincidentally taking the slot Alan Wake 2 left empty when they changed its release date to 10 days later.
With a release date of October 17th, sonic Superstars will be competing with Marvel's Spider-Man 2 and Super Mario Wonder, both of which will come out on October 20th, especially Super Mario Wonder, given both games are very similar when speaking of their genre, and both being co-op of up to 4 players.
