Sega cancels extraction FPS Hyenas
Along with the cancelation, the developer Creative Assembly might be laying off some personnel.
Sega has released a notice about a Structural reform, in which it mentions that they expect to record a loss by the end of the fiscal year.
The document states that structural reforms will be applied, mainly to the European bases, which will affect Creative Assembly's fixed costs, as well as the cancellation of Hyenas, developed by the same.
Other titles were also canceled, but they are unannounced projects, so their relevancy is pretty low, so there is no reason to overthink that unless their respective developers end up as affected as Creative Assembly.
On Creative Assembly's side, they have also reported that along with the cancellation of their game, they are currently doing a Redundancy Consultation, probably to see what to do with the people that was working on the game, which will most likely result in layoffs.

As mentioned in the announcement, they will try to relocate most of the employees, so they are still in Creative Assembly, but this is being done to minimize job losses, meaning that there will be some unlucky people.
Whenever there's news about companies laying off employees, it seems as if there's always more than one on the same day, as Epic has also announced a restructuring that ends up in layoffs.
