Sandy Shocks and Iron Thorns to appear in the next Tera Raid Event
Two Paradox Pokémon will appear in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet's next Tera Raid Event.
Pokémon has revealed the next Tera Raid Event for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. This time, it's Paradox-themed, with Sandy Shocks appearing in Pokémon Scarlet and Iron Thorns in Pokémon Violet.
The event will happen from Thursday, May 23rd, 2024, to Sunday, May 26th (or Friday to Sunday, depending on your Timezone); Sandy Shocks and Iron Thorns will appear in 5-star Tera Raids of any type.
Sandy Shocks will appear on 5-Star Tera Raids for Pokémon Scarlet and can have any Tera type; it is originally Ground/Electric-type, so be prepared to receive attacks of these types; it has high Special Attack and high Defense, so be sure to bring a Pokémon with high Special Attack and Special Defense, be sure that the pokémon you are using isn't weak to Ground or Electric-type attacks, or at least make sure it can survive them.
Iron Thorns will appear on 5-Star Tera Raids for Pokémon Violet and can have any Tera type; it is Rock/Electric type and will likely have moves of the same types; it has high Attack and high Defense, meaning that you should bring a Pokémon with high Special Attack and high Defense; regardless of what Tera type you encounter, remember to bring a Pokémon that resists or at least can survive Rock and Electric-type moves.
A Tera Raid Event of a Pokémon that you can already catch on your same game might sound redundant, but keep in mind that 5-star Tera Raids guarantee four perfect stats on the Pokémon you catch, and since you cannot breed Paradox Pokémon to get one with full perfect stats, this might be your chance if you're looking for that.
To Participate in this Tera Raid Battle Event, you need to have completed the main story up to the end credits; open the Poké Portal and Check Poké Portal News through the Mystery Gift menu, the special Tera Raid Dens will appear on the map with a glimmer surrounding the icon; you can also play with someone that has the other version of the game to catch the opposite game's paradox for yourself.
