Mortal Kombat 1 is trying to sell previously free stuff that players can still get with "Time Travel"
This oversight will likely be patched out really soon, so you have to pay next time.
Mortal Kombat 1 has been known more recently for trying to monetize in ways nobody liked, like trying to sell players one Fatality for about 10 USD, and after the negative reception, they offered players the whole seasonal fatalities bundle for the same price (free for the ones who bought the Halloween Fatality), which one could speculate that the intention was to sell each individually until backlash forced them to offer a more "reasonable" option instead.
Now Warner is trying another questionable tactic, selling items that you could get for free if you played the game's previous season, exclusively with the game's premium currency, so if you missed something you wanted to get, all you need to do is pay, or so they intended.
Unlike some other games with live-service practices, they seem to not check that the console has the correct date when you are playing their seasonal content, allowing you to change your console's date settings and giving you more time to unlock the seasonal rewards, now instead of having to buy the things you missed, simply replay the previous season and earn what you want.
DO NOT BUY THIS 🚨🚨🚨

ALL Last Seasons Items can be purchased by changing the date on your PS5 to any date BEFORE 6th November!

These kinds of "tricks" are nothing new, as they are often used on games with date-specific events, like Animal Crossing, Fez, or the Batman Arkham games, all single-player games, so it seems strange that a live-service game that requires you to be online for this kind of thing would leave a flaw like this slip through, one could think that this "oversight" might be left intentionally to let players get the free stuff for free, but this is just speculation.
