Get some opposite version exclusives in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
Find Gulpin, Stunky, Skrelp, and Clauncher all over Paldea, even if they are not from your Paldea.

Pokémon has announced the next Massive Outbreaks event for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. For a limited time, it will let you catch Pokémon you are normally unable to catch on Single-player.
Starting in the late hours of Thursday, January 25th, 2024, and ending on Sunday 28th (or Friday to Sunday, depending on your timezone), Gulpin, Stunky, Skrelp, and Clauncher will be available in both Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet games. Although Stunky and Skrelp are originally from Pokemon Scarlet, and Gulpin and Clauncher are from Pokemon Violet, they will all be catchable in both games during this timeframe.
During this Event, Pokémon from your version will have a higher chance to receive the Uncommon Mark, and Pokémon from the opposite version will have a higher chance of having the Rare Mark, Meaning that Stunky and Skrelp will have the Uncommon Mark in Scarlet, but the Rare Mark on Violet, and Gulpin and Clauncher will have the Uncommon Mark in Violet, but the Rare Mark on Scarlet.
Mass Outbreaks also have an increased chance to spawn shiny Pokémon by default; this increased chance starts after you defeat around 30 Pokémon and again at around 60 pokémon caught/defeated; however, the chances are still pretty low, they can go from 1 in 4096 (Base odds) to 1 in 1365.67 (60+ defeated) or even 1 in 512.44 (Best odds) if you also have the Shiny Charm and eat a sandwich with Level 3 Sparkling Power (with Herba Mystica).
To Participate in this Event, you don't need to progress that far into the game; just as soon as you get access to the Poké Portal, you check Poké Portal News on the Mystery Gift Menu, and the Pokémon will start appearing on your map with a Golden Mass Outbreak symbol.
