Former Volition employees form Shapeshifter Games and are already working on something
Former employees of the already closed Volition Studio have joined up and created a new co-developer Studio.
Volition Studio closed down a few months ago as part of the restructuring of Embracer Studios. However, some of the team members have now come together to form a new co-development studio called Shapeshifter Games. The new studio will be focused on co-developing AAA games and is already working with another team, InXile, on their current project called Clockwork Revolution.
The automaton cat is out of the bag. Happy to say that ex-Volition formed Shapeshifter Games has been working with us on @ClockworkGame!

Former employees of Volition mainly staff Shapeshifter Studio. This includes Rob Loftus, who previously served as the principal producer on Saints Row, Brian Traficante, formerly a creative director at Volition, and Matt Madigan, now the Studio Head of Shapeshifter Games and also had experience working at Volition.
Clockwork Revolution is a first-person action role-playing game with a steampunk aesthetic. In this game, players control time with the help of a time-traveling device called the Chronometer. Players can travel back in time with this device to influence the present. However, as with all time-travel stories, there is the possibility of the butterfly effect. This means that seemingly insignificant changes made in the past can have a powerful impact on the present, resulting in a completely different world. How deep this mechanic will go is hard to imagine; for all we know, it could be like Bioshock Infinite, where it's just part of the story, and you don't have much control over the results.
