Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 reveals the first chapter of their next saga
A new saga for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is starting, bringing Ultra Supervillains as playable characters.
Bandai Namco has announced the next saga for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, the Future Saga, which will involve Fu experimenting with Super Villain Energy, bringing other powerful villains from across dimensions/timelines and providing them with some considerable power-ups.
Along with a new story, the latest saga will introduce Goku Black (Super Saiyan Rosé, Ultra Supervillain) as a playable character, Vegeta with a similar transformation, simply named Vegeta (Super Saiyan God, Ultra Supervillain), and a yet unrevealed character, likely another one affected by the same kind of crystals we see on Goku Black and Vegeta.
Vegeta's transformation comes as a little strange; it looks similar to Super Saiyan Rosé, yet it is still called Super Saiyan God. Some say it might be an attempt to bring Ultra Ego to the game, which remains a Manga-exclusive transformation at the time, likely due to some licensing issues that stopped them from bringing specific content to the game.
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is currently available on all current platforms: Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One; you can still play the game on current-generation consoles through Backwards compatibility.
Chapter 1 of the Future saga will come during Spring 2024, though there is no specific date yet, though it might be out in time for the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S version release, which is on May 24th, 2024.
