Despite rumors, Star Wars: KOTOR Remake is still in Development
Whether the Remake will ever come out is debatable, but people are working on it.
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Remake has been through some setbacks for a while now, as more recently, it was considered all but canceled thanks to the rumors some people kept saying that it is "not being worked on right now," though that rumor kept growing because an often reliable person in the industry fed it, accidentally or otherwise, people kept spreading it enough that at least two people went ahead to deny these rumors.
Jason Schreier, a reporter from Bloomberg, has confirmed in different mediums that he has talked with two people from Saber Interactive, and they have confirmed that at least the game is still being worked on, though there is no confirmation whether there is a big enough team to actually finish developing the game.
One of the places Schreier confirmed the game's development status was on Resetera, specifically on a discussion about this topic.
LastNac: jschreier I mean...is it alive Jason?
jschreier: "Is it alive?" and "Will it ever actually come out?" are two very different questions. A third is "If it does ever come out, what will it actually look like?" That said, I've talked to two people at Saber who both say they're still currently working on it, so I don't believe that the comment that it isn't being worked on "in any way" right now is true.
