Assassin's Creed: Codename Red teases female protagonist in LinkedIn Profile
By updating his LinkedIn profile, the "leak" comes from Assassin's Creed Writer Pierre Boudreau.
A new picture for a future Assassin's Creed game has been revealed, showing a female character with a Japanese sword and a red-tinted background.

In the picture, we see a female character believed to be a protagonist of the game; next to her is the Assassin's Creed symbol, and below it, another symbol cut in half, believed to be "ナ," the first character of her name according to a popular Assassin's Creed leaker.
The leaker, who is a French Youtuber and Streamer called j0nathan, gave more information, like the character's name, Naoe, which he says is subject to change, and her backstory, which would enter into spoiler territory.
Assassin's Creed: Codename Red, or Project Red as Pierre put it in his profile, is one upcoming AC game set in Japan in an era of Ninjas and Samurais; there is not much information available regarding the game, some people might confuse it with the mobile game, but that one is Assassin's Creed: Jade.
Pierre Boudreau has already updated his profile, removing the picture, but everybody who has already seen it took a screenshot, so it's not hard to find it for anyone curious; whether this was done unintentionally or on purpose to keep up the hype is up to interpretation.
