After only six months, Grand Theft Auto V is leaving PS+
PlayStation has revealed some of the games leaving the PlayStation Plus Services in June.
PlayStation has revealed what games are on the Last Chance to Play section for PlayStation Plus; these games will be leaving the Service in June, when the Game Catalog Updates, which is tentatively landing on June 18th.
Currently, there are 12 titles on the list, including notable ones like Grand Theft Auto V, SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated, and Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons. However, it's important to note that this list is subject to change as the Game Catalog update draws near.
Grand Theft Auto V and MotoGP 23 are some interesting entries on this list, as they will last only six months on the Service since they were last added to the Game Catalog on December 19th, 2023, leaving on June 18th, 2024.
The list of games appears in the Last Chance to Play section of the PlayStation Plus menu on the PS5 and is as follows:
- Baja: Edge of Control HD (PS+ Premium/Deluxe)
- Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons
- DC League of Super-Pets: The Adventures of Krypto and Ace
- Dodgeball Academia
- Grand Theft Auto V
- Indivisible
- Monster Jam Steel Titans
- MotoGP 23
- SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated
- The Talos Principle: Deluxe Edition
- The Wild at Heart
- Unturned
These games will leave the Game Catalog, but it does not mean that they won't return eventually, as has been the case recently with Red Dead Redemption 2 and Watchdogs, which were removed from the Game Catalog a couple of years back and had just returned to the Service on May 21st, or they might even be replaced with more modern versions, such as the Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons Remake, or MotoGP 24 once a new one is announced.
One thing to keep in mind is to keep checking the Last Chance to Play section, as it might get updated at any point to add more games to the list. This was the case for Horizon: Zero Dawn, which was not on the initial list of the games leaving in May 2024 but was added later on.
