PlayStation
Several games are leaving PlayStation Plus, including various Final Fantasy games
Finish them if you are playing them, as you have until May 21st before they leave the service.
PlayStation has revealed the list of games leaving on May 2024, tentatively on the 21st, considering they tend to choose the third Tuesday of the month for their Catalog updates.
Every Month, PlayStation Plus removes a batch of games from the Game Catalog as other games arrive, but often, they are in smaller amounts. While this won't affect the library in any significant way overall, it could signify that in the future, they might be removing bigger batches of games or making a significant change in the way they operate.
This time, about 25 games are leaving PlayStation Plus, seven of which are different Final Fantasy games, VII, VIII, IX, X|X-2, XII, XV, and World of Final Fantasy; these games are part of the Game Catalog, which, unlike the Monthly games, you won't be able to play them after their time to leave arrives unless you decide to purchase them.
The list of games is as follows, but keep in mind that they may add more games to the list before the final day comes:
- Absolver: Downfall
- Abzu
- Adr1ft
- The Artful Escape
- Ashen
- ELEX
- Final Fantasy VII
- Final Fantasy VIII Remastered
- Final Fantasy IX
- Final Fantasy X|X-2 HD Remaster
- Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age
- Final Fantasy XV: Royal Edition
- World of Final Fantasy
- How to Survive 2
- I Am Dead
- Jotun
- Last Stop
- The Messenger
- Minit
- Monster Jam Steel Titans 2
- My Friend Pedro
- Observation
- Sundered
- This Is the Police
- This Is the Police 2
If you haven't, check out the games coming to PlayStation Plus this April, either through the Game Catalog or the Monthly Games; remember that Monthly games are for all PS Plus Tiers and lets you keep the games as long as you are subscribed, while Game Catalog is for Extra and Premium/Deluxe Tier members, and you can play the games as long as they remain in the service.
