PS VR2 is getting a PC adapter soon, but it won't be the same experience
Some features will be missing, while not that important, they might make a difference.
PlayStation has announced its new adapter for PS VR2, which allows it to play Steam VR games on PC. PlayStation will add PC support with the adapter on August 7th, 2024.
In the reveal, they also shared some requirements you still need to meet before being able to play Steam VR games with your PS VR2. You don't just need the adapter and a PS VR2; you also need a DisplayPort cable (and the Port itself on your computer), and your PC must meet the minimum requirements. Additionally, you'll need to download and install the PS VR2 app to customize your settings and play area and the SteamVR app to download and play the games.

There are some details though, not all PS VR2 features will be available when playing on PC, such as HDR, headset feedback, eye tracking, adaptive triggers, and haptic feedback; the reasoning could be that most games won't have support for these features, but it's still strange as it could also mean that even if the game has support for features that are available on the PS VR2, they won't be available, likely to give players the feeling that the PlayStation version of a VR game offers a better experience on console than PC.
