Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is getting a new update and new suits
Four whole new suits and four from previous games are coming along with some game improvements.
Insomniac has announced the next update for Marvel's Spider-Man 2, version 1.003.000, coming June 18th. This update will bring stability fixes and a few fan-requested features, such as bringing back the Spider Arms for some animations.
Fixes and changes
As of the announcement, there are not many details on what will be on the next update, other than stability fixes; they are adding some highly requested features; among these is the ability to change some animations for Peter Parker's Spider-Man, as after certain point in the story, the parry animation and another skill that used the spider arms, were permanently replaced with Symbiote tendrils, even during the parts of New Game+ where you weren't supposed to have the symbiote yet.
New Suits
Along with the Update, they are adding eight more suits to the game, four of which are brand new, designed in collaboration with Fashion designer Colm Dillane, AKA KidSuper, Professional Football player Vini Jr., Motorsports phenom Lando Norris, and Singer/Actress/Model Rina Sawayama; making two new suits for Peter and two for Miles.
The remaining four suits are ones from the previous games, two for Peter and two for Miles; Peter is getting the Last Stand Suit, featuring different color variants to unlock, as well as the Into The Spider-Verse suit, inspired by Peter B. Parker's suit from the animated movie.
Miles is getting two suits from his game, the Animated Suit; while Miles already has the Spider-verse suits, he is also getting one with a design closer to the classic one but with a filter more reminiscent of an animated show; and the Uptown Pride suit, a variation of the classic suit but with golden details, now it will also have different styles.
The update is coming out on June 18th, and they likely plan to release the full patch notes on that same day.
