The Thunder Manifestation is a world Boss locked behind a quest; defeating it will reward you with Storm Beads and Electro Gemstones.

How to Unlock the Thunder Manifestation Boss Fight

To unlock this Boss fight, you must do the Seirai Stormchasers questline, which is available as soon as you reach Inazuma City after leaving Ritou in the main quest.

Weak Point

This Boss receives guaranteed critical damage when hit on the head, though this Boss does move a lot, and when hit on the head, not much will happen other than the increased damage; there is no weakened or stunned state for this Boss.

Strategy

The Thunder Manifestation is immune to Electro and has low resistance to every other element; it moves a lot and rarely stays at a low height for enough time for your close-range characters to do significant damage, so Bow and Catalyst users are a must for this fight.

The Boss will be affected by Electro most of the time, so elemental reactions with Dendro, Pyro, or Cryo will do more damage than other elements.

It also has a rage meter that fills up as you get hit or when you deal enough damage; when filled up, it will switch to more aggressive attacks and will target specific players when on multiplayer, ignoring others, allowing you to lure it so it is easier to target by the others.

Hitting it on the head is only recommended if you are confident in your aiming skills, as it moves a lot, and it would be easier to cause elemental reactions instead.

Achievements

Love and Non-Communication and Electric Escape

"Defeat a Thunder Manifestation without ever being locked onto." and "Defeat a Thunder Manifestation without being hit by its homing thunder cage attack."

Being Locked On is not the same as the Boss targeting you in its enraged state, as you can get the first achievement in single player where you are the only one it can place its Lock On icon on; you get Locked On when certain attacks hit you; this means that you shouldn't get hit and you get both achievements; If you keep your distance you can dodge most of its attacks, you can run through the electro wall attack as you are invincible for a few frames at the beginning of the running animation, and you can see on the ground where attacks from the sky will land, such as the electro cage.

Thunder Fall

Defeat a Thunder Manifestation while it is in flight.

This means that you have to land the last hit during any of the attacks where the Boss goes out of reach for most characters, so shoot it down while it is high up.

Radio Silence

Get locked on by the Thunder Manifestation before you can attack it.

The opposite of the first achievement, don't attack and get hit until you get the achievement.
