Primo Geovishap, strategies, weak points, and achievements

The Primo Geovishap is a Boss found near Tianqiu Valley; this Boss will have a combination of Geo with Cryo, Electro, Hydro, or Pyro; defeating will reward you with Juvenile Jades and Ascension crystals of the Elements it used.

Strategy

This Boss will have a higher resistance towards Geo and Physical damage, regardless of what other element it will have.

Before the fight starts, you can see what elements the Boss has by looking at its scales, which will have the element's color.

Shielders are a good option, as you need a shield to avoid some attacks, especially one you can counter with a shield.

The best shields to use are either Geo or the same element as the Boss, if you didn't bring a shielder be sure to at least be able to cause Crystalize (Geo + other element ).

There is an attack you can counter, damaging back the Boss, the Primordial Shower attack, where it will fire an Elemental Beam to the floor and cause an explosion; if you have a shield capable of resisting the attack, it will return the attack to the Primo Geovishap, you'll return more damage if your shield is Geo or the Boss's element.

Weak Point

The Primo Geovishap receives increased damage when hit on the head.

After countering the Primordial Shower attack, the Primo Geovishap will remain stunned for a few seconds and have its resistances reduced; take advantage of this to deal your stronger moves.

Achievements

Deflection

Use a shield to counter a Primo Geovishap's Primordial Shower attack.

The Primordial Shower attack will only happen if you stay in front of it; save your shield for this moment, preferably a skill and not a crystalize shield.

You Can Have Those Back!

Use a shield of a matching type (or a Geo shield) to counter a Geovishap's Primordial Shower attack and deal immense DMG.

It's the same as the previous one, but you have to make sure it is a Geo shield or one of the same element of the Boss; you can get both achievements simultaneously.

Geo Elemental Reaction?

Defeat the Primo Geovishap in all of its elemental forms.

It has four forms, Cryo, Electro, Hydro, and Pyro; it changes elements every daily reset or when it respawns after being defeated; the element is random, so you might need luck to see all four forms.

Fine, I'll Do It Myself

Defeat a Primo Geovishap without reflecting its Primordial Shower.

Either stay on its sides so it doesn't make the attack, or never summon a shield to avoid deflecting the attack; you'll likely need a good healer in any case.
