Wriothesley is the First Cryo Catalyst character of Genshin Impact; he was introduced as a Playable Character in the second Wave of Version 4.1 Character Event Banner; his Arkhe is the Ousia Type.

Requirements for ascension

• Have unlocked the region of Fontaine for his level-up materials
• Lyney, if you have him for an easier time finding the materials
• Access to the Pale Forgotten Glory Domain for Talent Level-up materials (Wed/Sat/Sun)
• Adventure Rank 40 or have Finished Nahida's Second Story Quest for the Talent Level-up materials after Level 6 (weekly)

How to unlock Fontaine to Explore

To get to Fontaine, you don't need to progress a lot in the Story; You can get there as soon as you finish Prologue: Act I - The Outlander Who Caught the Wind, though completing Act III of the Prologue instead is more convenient, as a Teleport Waypoint will be unlocked near Fontaine.

Where to get the Ascension Materials

To ascend Wriothesley further than Level 20 and other level caps, he needs Subdetection Units, which can be found in the area of Fontaine Research Institute of Kinetic Energy Engineering Region; if you have Lyney, you can find them easier as they are marked in your minimap if you have him in your team.

How to Level up Talents over Level 6
