Golden Wolflord, strategies, weak points, and achievements

The Golden Wolflord is a Boss found in Tsurumi Island; while a quest blocks exploration on the Island, this Boss is completely unrelated, and you can go around the Island and directly to the fight; defeating it will reward you with Riftborn regalia as well as Geo Ascension crystals.

Strategy

Although Geo is the main element of this Boss, it is not immune to it or more resistant to it than the other elements, and even becomes weak to it after a certain point.

Similarly to Riftwolves, all of its attacks will inflict Corrosion (damage over time to the whole team, even with shields), so shield characters are mostly useless unless they can do something else.

This Boss moves a lot and flies out of range, so a ranged character is recommended.

Some of its most annoying attacks, such as the tornado and an attack that makes the ground explode, can be completely avoided by stepping out of the arena a few steps.

After taking some damage, the Golden Wolflord will summon a shield and three Rifthound Skulls; as long as the Skulls remain in the arena, the Boss won't take any more damage; you can take out these skulls by attacking them with Elemental damage (especially Geo).

Once the Skulls are gone, the shield is gone, too, but the Boss will keep its attack Boost and reduced resistance to Geo.

Weak Point

The Golden Wolflord does not have a weak Point.

After breaking the shield, the Boss will remain stunned for a few seconds, it will also have a reduced Geo resistance for the rest of the fight.

Achievements

Inugami's End

Destroy two Rifthound Skulls within a short time.

The timing is about five seconds; the trick is in the time between the destruction of both skulls, you can weaken both of them and then destroy them one after the other.

The Whisperer in Darkness

Defeat the Golden Wolflord in Co-Op Mode.
