XDefiant back with the delays, moves back preseason
This time, the reason for the delay is "inconsistencies in the game experience."
Ubisoft has announced through the XDefiant Twitter account that they would be delaying the preseason; the cause for this is pushed due to inconsistencies in the game experience, as they expressed in the announcement.

At the moment, they have yet to specify until when the preseason will be delayed, or if this would affect the actual game's release for that matter.
Just last month, they also revealed that the launch for the game would possibly be delayed to early/mid-October, though they have stated that the release window fits more "as soon as we can" instead.
With many Live Service games out, and shooters at that, XDefiant has to stand out more than the rest, and with how things are going on at the time, it seems that they are not going to do very well, or at least they won't be having a great start.
This game became an interesting idea since it involves the worlds of other Ubisoft games, from its factions to having maps from their respective games. Sadly, with everything happening to them, it would be no surprise if the game either gets canceled or doesn't last long after release.
XDefiant aims to be a First Person Arena Shooter with fast-paced action for PC and current generation consoles, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5.
