Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is getting ported to Last Gen consoles
While loved for a good story, the game is not very well received for its performance.
EA has confirmed during EA’s company Q1 earnings call that Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, a game already available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC is getting ported to last-gen consoles, this could be good news for players that still have a PlayStation 4 or Xbox One and for one reason or another still cannot upgrade to the current gen, on the other hand, this sounds concerning given that the current gen version doesn't seem to perform that well, and the PC version was even worse at launch.
“Thanks to the strength of this legendary franchise and community demand, our development team has committed to bringing this Jedi experience to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.” -EA CEO Andrew Wilson
There's no information on when the game will be released but let's hope they take however much time they need because the other versions don't seem to be doing that well, although they also say that this doesn't mean they are neglecting the other versions and that they are still working on fixes.
Porting a game to the previous generation seems to be a strange move, but then again, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor even when performing badly sold pretty well, so porting to last-gen may be a good move for them if fans are gonna buy it anyway.
