RGG Like a Dragon Direct reveals Opening cinematic for Like a Dragon Gaiden
The opening cinematic features the song "Katatoki" by Yojiro Noda and J.I.D.
RGG Studio had an RGG Summit, or as they called it this time, RGG Like a Dragon Direct, where they talked about their two upcoming games, the Spinoff Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name coming this November 9th and the next in the mainline games Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth coming January 26th, 2024.
For Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name, they didn't reveal much that wasn't already shown.
Combat
This time, RGG Studios didn't reveal much about the combat mechanics that haven't been shown at previous events; the game will have the classic street fighting system where you can play with two fighting styles, the Yakuza style, which has most of the classic moves from older games, and the Agent style which lets you use different gadgets to aid you in battle.
The Castle
Like most games in the franchise, there will be a place where you can play casino games, among other things; participate in a coliseum, customize your appearance, and fight by yourself, or invite classic characters from the previous games to fight alongside you to win rare prizes.
Opening Cinematic
What they did reveal that was new is the Opening Cinematic of the game along with a song called "Katatoki" by Yojiro Noda and J.I.D.
Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name will launch November 9th, 2023, on PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X|S, and PC.
