Multiversus is returning after 11 months of inactivity
After going offline since June 25th, Multiversus has announced it will return in May.
Multiversus has been offline since June 25th, 2023, after being in Open Beta for a while. Back in June, they had stated that the game would return as a complete game in early 2024, and depending on your perspective, they are returning in early 2024 if you consider almost five full months early in the year.
The game will return completely on May 28th to PlayStation and Xbox Consoles and PC. It will have full support for cross-play and cross-progression, meaning that you can play from any of the platforms you have, keep your things, and play against anyone on any platform.
Multiversus is a Warner Brothers game in which you fight on the stage as your favorite characters from their franchises, from the older ones, like Shaggy from Scooby-Doo or Tom and Jerry, to the more modern ones, like Rick and Morty or Steven Universe, as well as others from their movies, like those from the Gremlins movies or LeBron James, who starred in the Space Jam sequel.
Players who already had the game could still play this game the whole time, but all premium and Online features were disabled, leaving them with local features only, such as practice modes and Local play for multiplayer; any purchases made when the game was still available will remain when it returns, such as premium currency, and other rewards.
The game will feature rollback netcode, which, for those unfamiliar with the term, means that the game will feature a smoother experience in online play, by predicting the other player's input on your side. If there is a discrepancy between the expected input and the actual input, the game will roll back to a previous state and continue with the correct input as usual, which, when done right, will enhance the experience, as predictions would be precise, and rollbacks won't happen too often.
