First Person Shooters
Destiny 2 is giving free access to (nearly) every current expansion
Until the Year 7 Expansion arrives, play Years 3-5 expansions during May and one more for PS+ members.
Destiny 2 is making three of its current expansions available for all players, granting them free access until the new expansion, The Final Shape, arrives, or four Expansions for those with PlayStation Plus.
The Free Trial Period started on May 7th and will end on June 3rd, just before the release of the next expansion, The Final Shape, on June 4th. During this time, players will be able to play Destiny 2: Shadowkeep, Destiny 2: Beyond Light, and Destiny 2: The Witch Queen expansions completely free until June 3rd. For PlayStation players, the Destiny 2: Lightfall expansion is also available as part of PlayStation Plus Monthly Games, meaning it's yours to keep as long as you claim it and stay subscribed to PS+.
Based on previous experiences, players will be able to keep most of the rewards they claim from the expansions, with the exception of the Stasis Subclass, as they will need to purchase the Beyond Light expansion if they wish to continue using it; this seems to apply only to the Stasis Subclass, the other expansions, including Lightfall on PS+, don't seem to include anything that one might lose access to after losing the expansion, other than the expansion itself.
This is an excellent opportunity for players who may have missed the chance to play these expansions or start playing from the beginning and play tons of content and be ready when the new one arrives, having four full weeks to play three or four entire expansions.
Destiny 2 is a free-to-play game available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and, Series X|S, and PC through Steam, the Epic Games Store, and the Windows Store; the Open Access to Destiny 2: Shadowkeep, Destiny 2: Beyond Light, and Destiny 2: The Witch Queen expansions is available on all these platforms.
