Assassin's Creed Mirage is coming out a week earlier
The game is ready, and to celebrate that it will launch a week early.
Assassin's Creed Mirage has finally gone gold, which means that it is finally ready for release, but since it is still too early they probably decided to release it in October, however, to celebrate this milestone they decided to change the release date of the game, instead of October 12th it will now be October 5th.

Now, going gold does not mean that the game is done and completely playable, it simply means that the version that will be on physical release is ready and anything that might still need a fix or polish will be likely added on a day 1 update.
As bad as that sounds, it also means that all major development is done, such as the main mechanics, any notable bug fixes, and general polishing, which means that all that is left to do is the small stuff, such as minor bugs.
With an October 5 release date, this will give you an extra week of playtime if you plan to buy any of the other games coming out in October, such as Lords of the Fallen or Alan Wake 2, which are coming out on October 13th and 17th, respectively, or a week less of playtime for any of the games coming out in September if you had plans to buy any of them, such as Lies of P and Payday 3, which are coming out on September 19th and 21st, respectively.
