How to Ascend Arataki Itto from Genshin Impact

Arataki Itto is the leader of the Arataki Gang; he is a Crimson Oni, a youkai from Japanese (and Inazuman) folklore; he wields Claymores and has a Geo Vision; he is one of the few publicly known characters that were not affected by the secondary effects of losing their Vision during the Vision Hunt Decree, if not the only one.

Requirements for ascension

• Gorou if you have him for an easier time finding materials.
• Access to the Violet Court domain for Talent Level-up materials (Tue/Fri/Sun)
• Adventure Rank 40 or have finished the Archon Quest Chapter II: Act III - Omnipresence Over Mortals for the Talent Level-up materials after Level 6 (weekly)
• 46 Riftborn Regalia
• 168 Onikabuto
• 18 Slime Condensate, 30 Slime Secretions, and 36 Slime Concentrate (for ascension)
• 6 Slime Condensate, 22 Slime Secretions, 31 Slime Concentrate (per talent)
• 18 Ashen Hearts

Where to get ascension Materials

Itto requires Onikabuto to ascend when reaching certain level caps; these appear all over Inazuma, especially in places with tons of Electro; There are 79 on the map, so you’ll have to wait a few 48-hour resets or visit other players to get the 168 you need; if you have Gorou on your team, you’ll be able to locate them on your minimap.

How to get to the Violet Court domain

The Violet Court domain is on an Island directly east of the Kujou Encampment; you can get there using the Waverider. His materials refer to Elegance, which become available on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.

How to Level up Talents over Lv.6

Itto’s Talents require Ashen Hearts to level up beyond level 6; these items are possible rewards you get after defeating La Signora inside the Narukami Island: Tenshukaku domain. You can unlock this domain after completing the Archon Quest Chapter II: Act III - Omnipresence Over Mortals; otherwise, if you have not completed this quest, you can challenge her through your Adventurer Handbook if you have an Adventure Rank of 40 or above.
