Xbox Game Pass
Xbox Live Gold to be replaced by Game Pass Core
You'll get to play online and have access to 25+ games.
What is Game Pass Core?
Xbox has announced that they will be replacing the Xbox Live Gold service with a new one called Game Pass Core starting on September 14th, the main part remains the same, for the same price, you get access to online play, as well as some discounts for having the membership.
What will happen to Games With Gold?
Games With Gold will end on September 1st, any Xbox One games redeemed can be accessed as long as you keep the subscription active, and any Xbox 360 games redeemed will remain in the library regardless of the status of your subscription. On September 14, all existing members of the Xbox Live Gold service will be migrated to Game Pass Core at no additional cost and will have access to a list of 25+ games to play without having to go through any kind of process to migrate to the new subscription.
With this happening, the Game Pass service will look more like a tiered subscription, with Core (online + 25+ games) being a taste of Ultimate, the full subscription (online + 100+ games + PC and Console Game Pass), and in the middle are the console and PC Game Pass subscriptions individually, giving you access to just the games.
