Starfield's next update is expected to come in February, with more improvements
As promised, more updates are coming roughly every six weeks, and they are starting in February.
Bethesda has posted a blog talking about this year's milestones since the game's launch, celebrating 13 million players, but they also spoke about their upcoming updates, including quality of life and other improvements.
Among the improvements to come are the promised new modes of transportation, city maps for traveling within civilizations, more parts for ships so you can get even more creative when building them, more decorations, and more.
Better ways to customize the game's difficulty are also coming, including things like modifying the carry capacity (how many things you can have on yourself before disabling Fast Travel), cargo access distance (how far you can be from your ship and still check the cargo), ship damage, vendor credits, how you suffer afflictions, new survival mechanics, and more.
Also coming next year is Mod Support, though they still have yet to reveal when it is coming, only that it is coming in early 2024 when Creations launches.
They have also mentioned that the first major Expansion is coming in 2024, though no more information was given.
Bethesda is encouraging fans to participate in the Steam Beta so they can receive the game updates earlier than the rest so they can provide feedback, but remember, Steam Beta is so you can test the new features before they come out completely, so issues may arise, don't forget to give your feedback whenever that happens.
