Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection is coming this March
Announced during the Nintendo Direct and confirmed to come on other platforms as well.
A Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection was announced; it will contain the two Battlefront games and some Bonus Maps and Heroes; while the announcement was made initially on the Nintendo Direct's Partner Showcase, it is confirmed to arrive on other platforms as well.
Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection will be released on March 14th on all platforms: PlayStation4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC through Steam, though the PlayStation Store and the Microsoft Store indicate a release date of March 13th at night depending on your timezone.
The collection will also feature online game modes with up to 64 simultaneous players, though no online crossplay was mentioned in the announcement, so you might end up playing with players of your same platform unless officially stated otherwise.
The Bonuses included in the game are:
STAR WARS Battlefront (Classic)
- Bonus Map: Jabba's Palace
STAR WARS Battlefront II
- Bonus Maps: Bespin: Cloud City, Rhen Var: Harbor, Rhen Var: Citadel, and Yavin 4: Arena
- Bonus Heroes: Asajj Ventress & Kit Fisto
As well as local multiplayer modes featuring split-screen. While this feature was already in these games from the very beginning, it has become scarce in other games as time passes, and it being mentioned in the announcement might be a relief.
