S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 has been delayed, but now has an official release date confirmed
You have to wait for a bit more to survive in the radioactive land surrounding Chornobyl.
GSC Gameworld has revealed the release date for their game S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl, and it is a lot later than expected, though still in the same year; expected to come in Q1 of 2024, now it is confirmed to come out on September 5th, 2024.
The reason for the delay seems to be to polish some details that were brought to them thanks to the feedback provided by some people who got the chance to play a game demo.

Dear stalkers,
Last year, during Gamescom 2023, we finally had the chance to meet in person. We gathered around the campfire with you to share something valuable that we have been creating for you for all these years — a small part of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2:…
They have confirmed the release date of September 5th instead of early 2024 so as not to release a game that does not meet the expectations of their fans.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl has had a tumultuous development history. Initially announced in 2010 and canceled in 2012, it was later revived in 2018. However, it has suffered several delays due to the conflicts between Ukraine (where GSC Gameworld, the developer, is located) and Russia. These conflicts led to a subtitle change from "Chernobyl" to "Chornobyl," as the latter is the local spelling of the name.
The game will be available on Xbox consoles and PCs through the Microsoft Store, Steam, Epic Games Store, and Game Pass; S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl is expected to be a Microsoft exclusive at least for a few months after its release, as documents from the Epic vs. Apple lawsuit, revealed an exclusivity of only three months after release, though that doesn't mean that it will come to PS5 as soon as the three months are up.
