Nintendo is adding an N64 App in Japan to play mature-rated games
While this is only confirmed to be available in Japan at the moment, it may eventually make its way to the West.

Nintendo has announced in Japan that they will be releasing another Nintendo 64 NSO + Expansion Pack App that will come with the games Jet Force Gemini and GoldenEye 007 at launch; both games have a CERO rating of Z over there, meaning that they are intended for mature audiences only.
The reason this app is only being released in Japan is likely because on this side of the world, these games are rated for teenagers, even Jet Force Gemini, which will be released in the West this December, and this game makes you wonder if this game is correctly rated given the amount of violence it can have.

The relevancy of this announcement is not about the games released but about the possibilities, as this opens the doors to other games, like Conker's Bad Fur Day, for example, or Resident Evil 2.
This could also mean the possibility of having a similar app for SNES games, so players can get to see one of the reasons the ESRB was created, Mortal Kombat, although that might be a little less likely, that would depend on which games they have planned to release on these apps, or if they plan to release all the games that is.
